Requirements

Work Location: Huntsville, AL

Roles & Responsibilities: Full Time Exempt position The TS/SCI cleared Intelligence Technical Writer / Graphic Designer for intelligence products will provide technical writing and graphic product support, utilizing data analysis provided by our Cyber Threat Intelligence Analysts. These products will be used to support a classified research, development, test and evaluation (RDT&E) program in Huntsville, AL. This support will enhance a warfighting platforms RDT&E effort that focuses on maintaining platform cybersecurity in contested cyber environments, thereby ensuring that these platforms remain cyber mission-capable as they overcome advanced persistent threat (APT) cyber capabilities and Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) in any battlespace.

DUTIES INCLUDE: The following job functions are a basic requirement but are not limited to and may be assigned other duties.
  • Perform intelligence analysis and production
  • Responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and producing visual solutions for a wide variety of formats and dissemination outputs
  • Work and meet with various elements of a cross-functional intelligence organization to gain an understanding of what they want their proposed communications to look like and determine the scope of a project
  • Perform technical writing as it pertains to intelligence analysis, RFI responses, reports, papers, presentations, and product editing
  • Create or incorporate illustrations, pictures, tables, figures, exhibits, and designs to reflect the desired theme and tone of the communications
  • Communicate and coordinate across multiple branches within the customer organization to create visual elements, such as logos, original images, and illustrations to help deliver strategic messages
  • Prepare work to be accomplished by gathering information and materials and working closely with SME's, as well as contribute to planning concepts by studying information and materials followed by obtaining approval of concepts by submitting rough layouts
  • Prepare final layout by marking and pasting up finished copy and art
  • Produce drafts for review by clients and make revisions based on the feedback received
  • Review final productions for errors and ensure final product reflect client specifications
  • Use innovative solutions within time constraints
  • Proofread to produce accurate and high-quality work, presenting finalized ideas and concepts to the analysis team and customer
  • Use digital illustration, photo editing software, layout software, and other graphic design tools available to create visuals
  • Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to communicate interaction and design ideas, as required
  • Produce electronic documentation in addition to hard copy products
  • Maintain a comprehensive library of technical terminology and documentation
  • Analyze documents to maintain continuity of style of content
  • Manage updates and revisions to technical literature

Work Conditions:Work and operate in a TS/SCI and SAP/SAR environment - Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) located in Huntsville, AL Normal work days are Monday thru Friday. Office hours are typically 8am-5pm.Travel < 20%.

Education/Experience/Skills:
  • Must Currently Possess Top Secret/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor’s Degree plus 4 years of experience in the stated function or a High School diploma plus 6 years of experience in the stated function
  • Proven experience working in a graphic design / technical writing position with an intelligence production background
  • Must have strong verbal communication and writing skills, and be versed in common military intelligence and analysis terms and concepts, as well as all operational graphics and symbols
  • Good presentation skills
  • Time management skills and the ability to cope with several projects at once
  • Accuracy and attention to detail when finalizing products and designs
  • Be open to feedback and willing to make changes to your designs
  • Proficiency in adobe illustrator and other similar production and graphics software
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite of products, such as PowerPoint and Publisher
  • Able to write and express ideas in intelligence-related, explanatory, and procedural styles for multiple audiences
  • Current Driver License
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • All candidates will be required to pass a consumer report and/or consumer investigation to include SSN, Driver Record, Credit, and Criminal Background Investigation
