Huntsville, AL, USA | Salary | Full Time Job Title: Health Physicist Location : Huntsville, AL Canvas provides engineering services and technical solutions for customers in federal and commercial markets. This position is contingent upon award Duties:

Tracking of AMCOM managed commodities containing radioactive sources requiring 100% inventory accountability to ensure accurate health hazard assessments are performed.

Review training and training material, and provide recommended changes to documentation techniques and procedures related to health hazards associated with radiation, to include providing assessments and evaluations

Provide technical expertise in human factors engineering associated with radiation and radiation safety,

Support radiation measurements/sampling at AMCOM facilities by providing technical expertise in radiation and radiation safety by recording acquired data for analysis and interpretation.

Trains Radiation Safety Officers and Civilians involved with AMCOM licensed commodities.

Assist other occupational health personnel as required on special work assignments.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor of Science (B.S.) Degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physical or Biological Sciences, Industrial Hygiene, or other related technical fields.

Minimum of 10 years of technical experience in Health Physics and/or radiation safety.

Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) License

Security Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain a Secret security clearance.

Other Essential Job Functions: A low to moderate amount of travel away from office may be required.
