Description We are offering a project-based opportunity for a File Clerk in Huntsville, Alabama. The primary function of this role will be to digitally archive a storage unit of paper files into our computer system. This role operates within a well-structured office environment where the use of computer files, document scanning, and digital databases are daily tasks.Responsibilities: Converting paper documents into digital files for easy access and storage Utilizing scanning tools to create digital copies of paper files Maintaining the organization of both paper and electronic files Creating a digital database to ensure efficient retrieval of documents Ensuring the scanning and photocopying of documents is done accurately Addressing any issues or inconsistencies in the paper files before digitizing Ensuring all files are stored and backed up for future reference Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive documents Keeping track of all files that are being transferred to digital format. Requirements Proficiency in handling computer files and digital databases Experience with managing paper documents and files Familiarity with document scanning and photocopying tools Ability to efficiently file and retrieve paper documents Experience in scanning documents and converting them into digital format Knowledge in maintaining and updating paper files and digital databases Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Demonstrated ability in photocopying and scanning documents for record keeping Good organizational skills for maintaining files and documents systematically Ability to operate document scanning machines and other office equipment Basic computer skills for managing digital documents and databases Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in document filing and scanning Capable of standing or sitting for long periods, as the role involves working with files and documents Good communication skills for interacting with other staff and departments Willingness to adhere to all company policies and regulations.
