Minimum of six months related experience. Additional education may be considered in lieu of experience.Nature & Purpose of Position/Usual Duties: Performs custodial and routine maintenance duties, in various areas of the University.Primary Responsibilities (Staff Positions Only): Works in conjunction with Custodial Leads, Custodial Assistant Supervisors and Custodial Supervisor to maintain custodial supply inventories across campus. Reviews inventories of custodial closets and orders supplies as needed to maintain stocked custodial closets. Supply orders will be completed through a computer system. Receives supplies, assures item quality and places them into inventory. Picks supplies up from vendors or campus warehouse and delivers then stocks supplies into custodial closets across campus.May complete custodian task such as: buffs and polishes floors, cleans carpet, wet mops and dust mops. Cleans restroom, vacuums carpets and rugs, collects and removes trash and rubbish. Dusts, polishes furniture, strips, and refinishes floors and performs all cleaning and related duties. Performs other related duties as assigned.
