Job Descriptions:Position Overview:We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Contract Pricing Analyst to join our contracting team. This role is critical in developing, analyzing, and managing pricing strategies for government and industry contracts. The Pricing Analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate pricing that aligns with organizational goals, industry standards, and contract requirements. Key Responsibilities:
Develop pricing strategies and models for government and industry contract proposals, ensuring compliance with FAR, DFARS, and other applicable regulations.
Conduct cost and pricing analyses to support contract negotiations and decision-making processes.
Collaborate with business development, contracts, and finance teams to gather necessary data and ensure alignment between pricing and project goals.
Prepare and present detailed pricing proposals, cost models, and related documentation for submission.
Monitor and analyze contract pricing trends, market conditions, and competitive pricing to optimize future proposals.
Ensure that all pricing activities and documents comply with internal policies, client requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
Provide pricing forecasts, variance analysis, and other ad hoc reports to support management decision-making.
Assist in pricing audits and post-award contract administration to ensure accurate billing and cost tracking.
Required Experience:Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in contract pricing, cost analysis, or financial analysis, preferably in the government contracting or defense industry.
Strong understanding of government pricing regulations, including FAR and DFARS.
Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling tools. Experience with pricing software or databases is a plus.
Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex pricing data to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in analyzing Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to identify potential risks and accurately interpret solicitation requirements across various contract types, including Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee (CPFF), Cost-Plus-Award-Fee (CPAF), Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP), Time and Materials (T&M), Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) task orders, and General Services Administration (GSA) schedules.
Certified Cost Estimator/Analyst (CCEA) or similar certification is preferred but not required.
Work Environment: This is a full-time position primarily based in Huntsville Alabama. Occasional travel may be required for proposal meetings or contract negotiations.
