The Network Engineer:- Designs and plans network communications systems. Provides specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture. - Provides specific detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements. - Conducts testing of network design. Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc. - Understanding and wide application of technical principle, theories, and concepts in the field. General knowledge of other related disciplines. Evaluates and reports on new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network.- Able to provide technical solutions to a wide range of complex difficult problems. Solutions should be imaginative, thorough, practicable, and consistent with organization objectives.- Contributes to the completion of specific programs and projects. Frequent inter-organizational and some outside customer contacts. Will represent the organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects.- Works under general supervision and contributes to the completion of milestones associated with specific projects.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in a STEM related field and 5 years of experience, or 4 additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
