- Organize, manage, and motivate a global team (spread out across India and Ecuador) to deliver high-quality, high-availability services on our SaaS platform.
- Collaborate with leadership and teams in parallel organizations such as customer support, pre-sales, and product management to prioritize the sprint backlog and deliver sprints as committed.
- Employ agile development methodologies experience, extreme programming, test-driven development, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and related techniques.
- Influence and guide engineers to deliver testable code, automatable UI, and standards-based APIs all while working in a remote environment.
- Deliver KPIs to measure quality, velocity, and cycle time using JIRA, Github, and test automation tools.
- Actively and effectively participate in a variety of workstreams throughout the organization.
- Hold employees accountable for achieving their departmental goals and meeting performance objectives.
- 7+ years of experience developing and improving Web applications using modern languages ideally Ruby, Ruby on Rails and Java stack.
- Demonstrated success developing and leading a team, hands-on (60/40), including setting the direction for hiring, goal setting, coaching and development.
- A track record of iterative development; supporting complex SaaS/web platform and infrastructure at scale with high uptime in a dynamic business environment
- Possess solid understanding of API's development, security standards e.g., OAUTH and SAML.
- Have a good working knowledge of AWS deployments, QA Automation technologies such as Robot Framework, Selenium and TDD frameworks such as Cucumber.
- Experience working across organizational boundaries to deliver on cross-team initiatives, projects, and/or processes.
- Must be able to manage both on-shore and off-shore teams remotely
- Strong experience with CI/CD
- Must have recent experience working in a start-up or small to medium sized business in an Agile environment
