May perform administrative duties as required to include coding, billing and front-office functions.Job DescriptionQUALIFICATIONS:High School Graduate or Equivalent Must be a “Certified” Medical Assistant (CMA) – a graduate of a Medical Assistant program that awards certification and/or credentials by examination. RMA – Registered Medical Assistant
AMT – American Medical Technologist
CMA – Certified Medical Assistant
AAMA – American Association of Medical Assistants
CCMA – Clinical Medical Assistant
NHA – National Healthcareer Association
NCMA – National Certified Medical Assistant
NCCT – National Center for Competency Testing
NRCMA – Nationally Certified Medical Assistant
Successful completion of Southeast Health pharmacology exam BCLS certification (current) Medical office experience preferredLANGUAGE/ COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
Ability to effectively communicate in English both in writing and orally Ability to effectively communicate in an emergency situation
SKILLS:
Basic typing skills Computer literacy in Windows based programs preferred
