Description:The Project Buyer will be responsible for managing the procurement process for a specific project, ensuring that all necessary materials and services are sourced in a timely and cost-effective manner. They will work closely with project managers, engineers, and vendors to ensure that project requirements are met on time and within budget.Day-to-day:

Develop and execute procurement strategies for the project, including sourcing of materials and services, and supplier management.

Collaborate with project managers to identify project requirements and ensure that procurement plans align with project timelines and budgets.

Conduct market research to identify potential vendors and evaluate their products and services to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with project specifications.

Manage purchase orders and track deliveries to ensure timely receipt of materials and services.

Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers and negotiate favorable terms and conditions for contracts.

Analyze and evaluate supplier performance, and manage supplier relationships to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.

Work with internal stakeholders to identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost-reduction strategies.

Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including purchase orders, invoices, and delivery information.

Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant laws and regulations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field (engineeringmechanical, industrial)

3-5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.

Strong negotiation skills and experience managing vendor relationships.

Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP)

Knowledge of manufacturing supply chain best practices and relevant laws and regulations
