Description We have a healthcare client seeking a Medical Billing Supervisor/Manager to oversee their billing department operations in Cullman, Alabama. In this role, you will train and supervise staff, oversee payment procedures, and manage customer inquiries. You will also handle the recruitment and evaluation of employees, as well as maintaining accurate records.Responsibilities: Train, supervise, and evaluate billing department personnel. Oversee payment posting and debt collection procedures. Communicate work procedures and company policies to the billing staff. Handle job performance issues and resolve employee complaints. Make recommendations concerning staffing decisions and procedural changes. Maintain records related to office supplies and equipment maintenance. Ensure adherence to quality standards, deadlines, and proper procedures. Prepare and issue work schedules, deadlines, and duty assignments for the billing department. Resolve customer inquiries and complaints related to billing. Maintain a working knowledge of CPT and ICD coding principles, governmental regulations, and third-party requirements pertaining to billing and documentation. Prepare and submit clean claims to various insurance companies. Evaluate and record patient's financial status and establish budget payment plans. Process payments from insurance companies and post patient payments.Requirements Proven experience as a Billing Supervisor or similar role in a healthcare setting.

CPC Certified

Proficient knowledge of medical billing procedures and EHR systems.

· Five years billing experience including primary care billing

Strong leadership and team management abilities. Excellent numerical skills with an attention to detail. Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Knowledge of relevant laws and best practices in healthcare billing. Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize work. High level of professional integrity and confidentiality. Capacity to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Strong customer service skills and ability to handle patient inquiries related to billing. Willingness to stay updated with industry trends and current billing software. Experience with process improvement and billing optimization strategies.
