As a Chemical Operator Level 1 here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in our Energy & Sustainability Solutions (ESS) business unit. You will work in our Chickasaw, AL location and be responsible for operating chemical processing equipment to produce high-quality products. Your attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols will ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our chemical manufacturing processes.You will report directly to our Chemical Operations Supervisor and work on-site at our Chickasaw, AL location.In this role, you will impact the production process by ensuring the safe and efficient operation of chemical processing equipment. You will monitor equipment performance, troubleshoot issues, and make adjustments as necessary to maintain product quality and meet production targets.Rotating Schedule working 12 hours both on days and nightsPosition Responsibilities:

Operates hand or power tools, forklifts, computers, and production equipment.

Is responsible for maintaining Safety, Environmental Quality, Product Quality, Productivity, and Inventory accuracy for their area.

Arrange, load, move, package, handle, transfer, label, sample, and document process materials.

Set up, adjust, clean, take apart, put together, or perform minor maintenance, on machines, or equipment.

Verifies equipment, or areas, are safe for normal use, hazardous work, servicing, or maintenance.

Identifies and troubleshoots problems in processes, products, or equipment, and work for a solution.

Gathers, maintains records, and uses statistical control charts.

May generate, handle, transfer, move, drum, label, sample, and document waste.

May prepare, load, move, and unload various materials.

Reasoning ability - Must be able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Performs tasks assigned to operations as per Master Task List.

Willing to work shift work including weekends

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Ability to climb, stoop, kneel, and bend.

Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.

Ability to work in varying temperatures and various weather conditions.

You Must Have:

Basic understanding of chemical processes and equipment operation

Ability to follow standard operating procedures and safety protocols

High school diploma or GED

We Value:

High school diploma or GED

1 year of experience working in a manufacturing or heavy industrial experience.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of an organization

Basic computer programs/software knowledge

Forklift experience

General knowledge of mechanical equipment
