Nursery Supervisor (Bareroot & Container)

ABOUT THE ROLE:PRT is seeking a Nursery Supervisor. You will have responsibilities in all day-to-day operations associated with bareroot and container seedling production at our Pine Hill location, which grows 60 M seedlings annually. Assisting the Nursery Manager in strategic planning and implementation of seed stratification, field prep, fertilization, soil fumigation, irrigation troubleshooting, and planting container and bareroot seedling crops and cover crops.  Once crops are established, you will assist in all cultural activities involved in the production of a quality seedling crop, (i.e. irrigation management, pesticide/fertilizer applications, seedling inventories, and various other specialized cultural activities.). With the arrival of fall, your focus will turn to finalizing inventories, strong customer communications, managing a contract labor force, seedling harvest, and logistics.  Equipment, buildings, and grounds must be always maintained to prevent downtime, unscheduled maintenance, and foster good housekeeping.
