About the Job

This position is to monitor and control all activities related to the loading of rail cars and trucks.

Load products in rail cars and trucks, in conformance with bills of lading and keep a log of all cars and trucks loaded.

Perform light and preventive maintenance to equipment as well as daily inspections of work area and record findings on Shift Checklist.

Clean-up spillages and perform other housekeeping duties such as removing product blockages.

Operate the rail car puller as needed and switch rail cars as necessary. Secure all hatches on cars and issue all deals as necessary.

Become a certified weigh master and maintain proper weights in cars and trucks. Ensure that all weigh scales are kept clean, including the area around the load cells, under the scales.

Reclaim hydrate to bulk loadout tanks and reclaim and blend lime to proper tanks.

Collect samples from rail cars and trucks for quality control purposes and perform physical inventories of all bulk material.

Required Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Preferred Qualifications Experience: Related experience in an industrial environment preferred.

Certifications: Mine Safety & Health Administration training preferred.

Knowledge: Railcar knowledge required. Basic maintenance knowledge preferred.

Abilities: Ability to operate mobile equipment and hand tools.
