Our client, a leading player in the distribution industry, is seeking a Warehouse Associate I to join their team. As a Warehouse Associate I, you will be part of the logistics department supporting the distribution center operations. The ideal candidate will have strong time management skills, effective communication abilities, and a commitment to safety which will align successfully with the organization.Job Title: Warehouse Associate ILocation: Birmingham, ALPay Range: $15 per hourSchedule: 3:00 AM - 11:30 AMWhat's the Job?
Load and unload delivery trucks, requiring frequent physical moving and lifting of products weighing up to 50 pounds.
Operate powered industrial vehicles (forklifts, pallet jacks, order pickers, etc.) safely and maintain an operator license, if required.
Prioritize and pick materials to fill orders and stage products for loading.
Assist in verifying all incoming and outgoing products for accuracy in terms of amount, size, and type.
Compile and submit regular reports of damaged, outdated stock or supplies, and assist in periodic inventory counts.
What's Needed?
High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
Prior work experience sufficient to work under general supervision.
Ability to start, control, and maintain a complete process or procedure while keeping safety and compliance at the forefront.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to carry out oral and written instructions.
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative relationships with those contacted during the course of work.
