DescriptionOffice Address: Atlanta, GA; Birmingham, AL; Knoxville, TN; New Orleans, LA; Memphis, TN; Charlotte, NCWeekly Scheduled Hours: Monday- Friday 8 AM–5 PMPosition Overview:This critical position at the front of the “Red Team” in the new Fraud Protection Services department will be responsible for the creation and leadership of a team of highly qualified analysts whose primary responsibility is the testing of the current payments processes looking for gaps that can be exploited by fraudsters and reporting the findings to department leadership. Additionally, this position will lead the collection, review, and analyzation of product literature to identify new threat vectors and gaps that may occur when systems are changed/updated &/or when new systems are added to the banking system to include various pay rails, digital banking, retail banking, and operations-based systems. This role will require a strong desire to uncover and identify gaps and issues in a rapidly modernizing environment while inspiring others to dig, learn, and persist through challenges to support and protect the bank and its clients.Key Responsibilities:

Lead the Advanced Analytic & Assessment / Red Team in developing and creating policies and procedures for the highly sensitive position of this team.

Lead the assessment of the banks’ ability to detect and respond to threats of a financial transaction nature from all possible vectors.

Lead the identification, cataloging, and reporting of gaps & vulnerabilities identified in the bank from in-depth research into various bank systems involving transactions, digital banking, retail operations, and supporting operational systems.

Assist department leadership in the articulation and presentation of the research &/or investigations to include written reports, data visualization, and presentations.

Provide guidance to leadership and LOB on new payment product offerings &/or changes that may affect fraud losses, customer experience, or health of various banking systems.

Lead the evaluation of risk factors and/or best practices as they relate to the various banking systems.

Promotes ethics and compliance; identifies opportunities and takes action to enhance compliance within the organization; completes internal testing to ensure compliance.

Responsible for interviewing, hiring, planning, assigning work, appraising performance, progressive discipline and resolving problems.

Provides leadership, direction and growth opportunities to members of the team in accordance with the Company’s policies and applicable laws.

Performs other duties as required.

Education and/or Work Experience:

Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year College or University, preferably in Business/Finance, Data Analytics, or Engineering, or

A 2-year degree with 5 or more years of banking experience, preferably in various roles, or

A banking &/or fraud certification with a combination of higher education with banking and/or investigative employment exceeding 10 years.

Required Skills:

Strong leadership skills with a desire to mentor and teach.

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a high degree of attention to detail.

Ability to create and follow “Need-to-Know” requirements due to the highly sensitive manner of work.

A problem solver mentality who can operation in a high-stress environment with minimal guidance.

Deep knowledge of banking regulations (Reg E, Reg CC, Natcha, ECT), banking systems (card, ACH, check, loan, ECT), and investigative &/or analytical best practices.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including risk management, fraud operations, product teams, and technology partners to meet the key responsibilities of the position.

Ability to clearly articulate, in writing or orally, ideas, analytic insights, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences, including an executive audience.

Preferred Skills / Experience

10+ years of leadership experience.

5-7 years of experience with other banks & / or Fin-Tech companies outside of FHB, especially in an investigative aspect.

5+ years of investigative experience in Financial Institutions, Law Enforcement, or Military.

15+ years combined experience in banking, investigations, or Fin-Tech.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) preferred, or

Certified AML & Fraud Professional (CAFP) or,

Certified Financial Crimes Investigator (CFCI)

State or Federal Criminal Investigator Certification
