Description Robert Half has an open position for a HYBRID Financial Analyst. (They will also consider fully remote). In this Financial Analyst role, you will conduct financial modeling on a range of financial products and measure, analyze, and forecast performance in conjunction with operating plans. You will also be responsible for advising management on the distribution of resources to best complete objectives and preparing reports for management. You will be a part of a dynamic team being a key business partner in areas such as forecasting, performance reporting, and expense management. In this Financial Analyst position, you will be responsible for supporting world class strategic and financial planning methods, building long-range operating plans to support business imperatives and developing rolling forecast processes to ensure resources every quarter are consumed at maximum effectiveness. Along with your main responsibilities, you will assist with operationalizing and cultivating a more data-driven planning process and improved monthly and quarterly reporting. In this role, you will be directly involved in the coordination of various planning cycles (annual planning, quarterly forecasts and monthly outlooks), while providing strategic analyses and recommendations. You will provide variance analysis of bookings, revenues and expenses, clearly explaining the business reasons for variances and adjusting the outlook models to reflect operational adjustments. Look over performance to date while assessing potential opportunities and risks
Track of monthly and quarterly performance by comparing actuals versus expectations to ensure business partners handle their resources r
Produce and manage forecasting reports
Work with Accounting on the monthly and quarterly financial close process
Collaborate with senior executives on strategic deep dives on creating financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, event tracking and execution, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, and strategic resource allocation, and prioritization
Work closely with cross functional partners in Accounting and Operations to execute against plans
An ideal candidate should be highly flexible, comfortable with large amounts of information, and adept at managing expectations
Possess the know-how and be able to explain internal and external drivers impacting performance and trending
Drive P& L forecasting and Area/Segment-level Bookings on a weekly, quarterly and annual basis
Provide valuable foresight and decision support through effective Business Intelligence (BI)
Lead monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and if any actions are required
Requirements - Experience in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)
Critical thinking, problem solving, ability to work independently
Command of Statistical Models
Skills in GAAP Accounting
Comprehension of Excel Formulas
General familiarity with Healthcare trends
Experience with Microsoft Excel
Foundational knowledge in Annual Budget
Hands-on experience with Power BI
Comprehensive knowledge of statistical analysis
Experience with budgeting
Prior experience with Create Dashboards
Proficiency in Statistical Reports
Good understanding of Monthly Financial Reporting
Proven knowledge of budget forecasting
Quality experience with Internal Control
Practical knowledge of Identifying Trends
Wide ranging experience with internal control review
Earlier work involving billing
Well-founded grasp of Financial trends
Previous experience working with Monthly Financial Reports
Skilled in the construction and delivery of effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds
Financial planning & analysis (go-to-market experience preferred)
Skills in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly desired (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)
BA/BS degree in finance or a related field
Spreadsheet and ERP system experience is a plus
Familiarity with Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools required
Strong communication and social skills and able to receive criticism well
