Accounts Receivable Clerk

Description We are on the hunt for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to become part of our team, based in Birmingham, Alabama. In this role, you will be responsible for managing customer accounts, processing payments, and maintaining accurate records. Responsibilities Efficiently handle customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable Regularly update and maintain customer files, including any changes in name, address, or other relevant details Engage with customers with past-due accounts to facilitate payment Collaborate with the Accounting Team to reconcile accounts receivable periodically Assist in preparing monthly billing statements based on the general ledger Compile and generate reports on the status of customer accounts as needed Research discrepancies in customer accounts and past-due amounts, in coordination with the Accounting Team Ensure all changes of information are communicated to the appropriate employees and customers Maintain a systematic record of materials for accounts receivable Perform other duties related to accounts receivable as assigned. Requirements Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) functions is essential Strong customer communication skills are required Experience in collections is necessary Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is required Familiarity with billing procedures is a must Understanding and experience with General Ledger is required Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
