Seeking a legal secretary/assistant with a minimum of 3 years legal experience to work part-time in a solo attorney office (practicing for over 35 years). I focus in personal injury, criminal and administrative law. The following minimum qualifications are required for this job:
Experience researching or referencing information and materials in order to complete work and/or projects (e.g., Internet, files, data base, media, etc.).
Experience performing clerical work to include drafting and typing letters and memos, proofing documents, drafting pleadings, answering telephones and handling client non-legal opinion questions.
Associates degree and/or Bachelor's degree in the Arts.
You must be familiar with MS Office, WordPerfect, electronic filing (AlaFile, AlaCourt and Pacer) and MS Outlook. Excellent legal typing skills and good grammar are required. You must be able to handle transcription. You must have dependable transportation and good working ethics. Reply with your resume. References will be contacted.
