CL Medical Records Services., the nationwide leader in Workers Compensation and Disability Peer Review Services since 2012, is seeking several highly motivated medical professionals (such as MDs, International medical graduates, chiropractors, PharmDs, DOs or PsyDs) for the position of medical records physician.
As no patient contact will occur, and all work is done in close liaison with the respective board-certified MD, a current medical license is not required for this position.
Our other medical records physicians have found this to be an excellent opportunity while preparing for board exams, re-structuring ones clinical career track, or as an independent career track that does not expose you to clinical workdays. We also have physicians transitioning out of clinical medicine and find that their clinical expertise helps them adjust to this line of work.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
Consolidating medical records
Researching and providing evidence-based guidelines to our board-certified MDs
Transcribing and proofreading our board-certified MD's reports
Amongst many other medical tasks that all do not involve direct patient care.
Requirements:
Any medical degree (international medical degree OK)
Independent and reliable
Excellent written English
Willingness to learn and follow direction
Professional demeanor
Solid computer literacy required, typing is very important
Must live within a 25 mile radius of our Birmingham, AL office
Must commit to at least full-time equivalent, 9 AM to 5 PM every weekday.
Start within a week or two.
We compensate on a per case basis. We provide paid training, a career track for the right candidate(s), mentoring, as well as access to our nationwide network of board-certified medical professionals.
To apply, please email resume, salary history, and availability for an interview.
NO PHONE CALLS PLEASE.
Thank you for your consideration.
