Description We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Employment Defense Associate Attorney to join our team. This position is fully remote, providing you with the flexibility to work from anywhere. As a firm, we offer an environment with low billable hours, allowing for a healthy work-life balance while still delivering top-tier legal services to our clients. This role involves providing legal advice and solutions to employers, managing litigation independently, and handling various employment law issues.Responsibilities:

Represent employers in litigation and other legal proceedings concerning employment disputes and labor laws.

Draft legal pleadings, motions, discovery, and briefs.

Perform pretrial preparation, including depositions and witness preparation.

Conduct research and analysis of complex legal issues related to employment law to advise clients or represent them in court.

Advise employers regarding various aspects of employment law, such as wage and hour disputes, discrimination and harassment claims, and wrongful termination.

Develop strong legal strategies to defend our clients' rights and interests in employment matters.

Requirements

Requirements:

J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school.

Member in good standing with the bar in the state of practice (or ability to waive in)

Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in employment litigation

Proven experience in employment defense counsel in a law firm or corporate legal department.

High proficiency in drafting and negotiating legal documents.

Ability to understand and further client’s objectives in all facets of employment defense.

In-depth knowledge of federal and state labor laws.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

You may be expected to attend occasional on-site meetings, as required by the organization.
