Looking for CNC Machinist experienced with Mills & Lathes, candidates must have a minimum of 4+ years of experience in machine set up and operation. We are a professional team of true machinist who are passionate about what they do on a daily basis. Setting up and machining part to manufacture parts for the Boeing 737 and commercial airlines.

These parts will be made from steel and titanium (no exotics) and range in size from 1/2 in to 72 in.

Reviews set-up sheet and specifications to determine set-up procedures, machining sequence, and dimensions of finished parts.

Select the best tooling to be used, given the work material and machining method for the job.

Observe and listen to machine operation to detect malfunctions such as worn or damaged cutting tools.

Notifies supervisor of machine repair needs.

Perform housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and orderly workstation and perform basic machine upkeep, such as wiping down outside surface of machine, lubrication, etc.

Set up and run prototype and one off projects on a variety of CNC machinery including lathes, mills, mill-turn.

Optimize prepared programs at the machine for speeds and feeds

Work with a variety of materials from steel, aluminum to exotics like inconel and titanium

Read blueprints and part sheets to determine proper approach to creating precision parts

Bring ideas to the table to increase efficiency and lower downtime and scrap

Qualifications:

Bring 5 years minimum prior related experience in a job shop or similar prototype and R&D environment

Have knowledge of and experience with using G & M codes

Be well versed in geometric dimensioning and tolerances

Have a very strong grasp of and in the use of measuring and inspection equipment

Be a team player able to work well with little or no supervision, or within a team as needed
