Description We are in Auburn, California, and we are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Specialist. This role is in the telecom industry and will require you to perform various accounting functions. As an Accounting Specialist, you will be tasked with maintaining our general ledger, preparing financial reports, and overseeing accounts payable and receivable functions. Responsibilities: Perform maintenance of the general ledger to ensure accuracy and compliance. Prepare various accounting statements and financial reports for internal and external use. Oversee the preparation of bi-weekly payroll, ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time. Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring all transactions are processed and recorded correctly. Reconcile accounts payable sub-ledger and resolve any discrepancies that arise. Communicate with vendors regarding invoice and payment inquiries. Comply with company policies and procedures, as well as federal & state regulations. Perform any other tasks assigned by management. Utilize accounting software systems such as Great Plains, Microsoft Excel, and Sage 100 for various accounting functions. Utilize ADP for financial services and Concur for billing functions and check processing. Kindly note that this role offers a short term contract employment opportunity. Requirements Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential. Experience with ADP - Financial Services is required. Proficiency in Concur is necessary. Familiarity with Great Plains (GPAC) is needed. Expertise in Microsoft Excel is important. Must have strong understanding of Accounting Functions. Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is mandatory. Familiarity with Billing Functions is necessary. Proficiency in Check Processing is required.
