We need YOU!Where the chemistry happens…We are seeking a professional like you to join our Performance Chemical Division supporting our AO Operations team at the McIntosh, AL site. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance of safety, quality, and productivity to meet both internal and external demands and regulations. You will be supporting production processes in the AO Synthesis production units and collaborating with operators, maintenance personnel, engineers, chemist, contractors, vendors, and management to gather information and resolve any issues that may arise.As a Operations Leader, You Create Chemistry By

Assisting in improving and achieving production adherence to schedule by monitoring daily production downtime and operations efficiency, troubleshooting process and equipment operability issues, identifying root causes, and implementing solutions.

Providing technical support and guidance to operators, maintenance personnel, and chemists to meet production requirements.

Providing leadership to the front-line Operations team, including support and guidance during nights, weekends, and holidays.

Monitoring all aspects of production to identify opportunities for improvement and making recommendations to support continuous improvement in areas such as safety performance, regulatory compliance, quality, efficiency, throughput, equipment reliability, waste reduction, and operating costs.

Participating in or leading AIM's (RCA) investigations, management of change, PSSRs, and PHAs. Also participating in PSM/RMP and BASF EHS auditing processes.

If you have

A bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or a related field

Previous experience in a similar role within the chemical manufacturing industry

An understanding of batch processes, including knowledge of the equipment, machinery, and technologies involved

Strong knowledge of safety protocols, procedures, and regulations related to chemical manufacturing

Ability to lead and manage a team effectively

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders and motivate team members to achieve goals

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as continuous improvement mindset
