It's time to leverage big data and machine learning to generate relevant and trustworthy recommendations for billions of shopping journeys through billions of products, and to make it easy and natural for customers to discover those recommendations. Amazon's Choice recommends highly rated, well-priced, low-regret products, which are available to ship immediately. It has struck a chord with customers, by simplifying their shopping journeys and helping them find great products, and is scaling rapidly as a result. But it's still Day 1. There are many more opportunities to grow and improve this recommendation system, as we envision Amazon's Choice to be part of every shopping journey on Amazon and Alexa.

We are looking for a Sr. Manager, Product Management, Amazon's Choice, to deliver on this vision. You will set the strategic direction for Amazon's Choice product, with a goal to drive its long-term value proposition and scale. You will own the product roadmap, identifying new features to build across engineering, data and design, and maximizing their impact on Amazon's customers and P&L. You will solve the complex problems which will arise as Amazon's Choice scales, whether on the technical side or on the CX side. You will also design mechanisms to ensure the long-term success of Amazon's Choice product and business. This role requires a combination of outstanding customer understanding, business judgment, strategic thinking, problem-solving, technical acumen and high CX bar to innovate on behalf of our customers. In this role, you will lead a team of product managers and technical product managers. You will also partner with a dedicated software engineering team, economics, applied science, data science, risk management and UX design, as well as business teams, marketing, PR and legal. This is a highly visible role, reporting directly to the Director of Amazon's Choice, and leading discussions with senior leadership in Alexa Shopping and across Retail teams.

  • MBA or other relevant advanced degree
  • Experience with information retrieval products, online advertising, voice-based products or large consumer marketing programs
