Human Resources Specialist (Reception)

We are currently recruiting for an energetic and reliable team player within the agency as part of the Human Resources department. This position will perform a variety of technical administrative duties and support a number of departmental programs. The Human Resources Specialist is the first point of contact for internal/external customers (in person or by phone) and provides information, forms, and materials; acts as the department's primary point of contact for employment verification and provides information/guidance on general human resources topics.

This position is located at the the Human Resources reception desk and frequently interacts with current Pierce Transit staff. The ideal candidate understands the importance of customer service, valuing and respecting every employee and can communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and experiences. The individual we are seeking will need to be proactive, friendly, accurate, customer-focused and have the ability to handle competing priorities while staying on task in a fast-paced Human Resources environment.
