NexGen Data Systems is seeking a Configuration Manager who can add significant value to a team of motivated, self-directed individuals for the planning and production support of configuration management (CM) functions, with a focus on Document Management. The ideal candidate will be motivated, organized, operate with a sense of urgency and be highly detail oriented.
Roles and Responsibilities:Provide planning and production support for the following CM functions:- Document Management
- CM life cycle management and planning
- CM training
- Configuration Identification
- Configuration Control
- Configuration Status Accounting
- Configuration Verification and Audit
- Data Management
- Provide support for planning and producing a configuration control and management process that will assist with implementing and sustaining procedures for controlling modifications to baseline hardware, firmware, software, and documentation to ensure the protection of the Network infrastructure against improper modifications before, during, and after implementation.
- Provide support for planning and producing a process for reporting and recording changes to installed baseline equipment, equipment configuration specifications, and site locations.
- Provide support for planning and producing a process for documenting, tracking and maintaining the configuration of systems (hardware and software data) and equipment.
- Institute of Configuration Management CMII Comprehensive (CMII Comprehensive) Certification OR
- Configuration Management Process Improvement Center (CMPIC) Certifications OR
- National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) Certified Configuration and Data Specialist (CCDS) certification OR
- CMPro training and certifications OR ITIL Practitioner Certification
- 3-5 years experience as a configuration manager supporting IT programs
- 10+ years of IT experience
- A strong sense of urgency including self-governance on task priority
- Eagerness to learn with a quality, detailed-focus is essential
- Ability to collaborate with awareness and responsiveness to customer needs
- Commitment to continuous development and improvement
- Must meet the requirements to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
- Ability to attain and maintain a United States Department of Defense security clearance
