The Irrigation Team Member is responsible for working as a team member under the direct supervision of the Irrigation Technician. The team member is responsible for executing construction activities related with the installation of an irrigation system; in an efficient manner, promoting work site safety, providing excellent customer service, and exhibiting pride and quality workmanship.
Essential Job Functions:
Ability to lift, push, pull, carry 50 pounds of material or equipment.
Ability to stand, kneel and/or bend for a long period of time.
Ability to withstand exposure to outside weather conditions: humidity, rain, hot and cold temperatures.
Job Requirements:
Must be able to work a 5-day schedule.
Must have a valid drivers license and be able to be added to company insurance policy
Highly motivated, self-driven, and detailed oriented.
Must be professional in appearance and actions.
Maintain good attendance record as well as good punctuality.
Always obey all company policies and every safety rule.
Understands and adheres to safety policies, proper lifting techniques, and heat stress.
Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment.
Must be able to properly, efficiently, and safely work with landscape/irrigation hand tools.
Must be able to properly, efficiently, and safely work with gas powered landscaping tools.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Use irrigation hand tools efficiently and safely.
Properly excavate, back fill and compact trenches.
Able to cut and glue PVC pipe and fittings.
Able to run and connect irrigation wire.
Able to install drip hose and fittings.
Select, install and adjust nozzles and spray patterns on different types of sprinkler heads.
Operate and perform inspection and preventative maintenance on gas powered equipment used for trenching, general excavation and cutting.
Assist with irrigation inspection and troubleshooting.
Safely load and secure pipe and irrigation parts for transport in work trucks.
Attend training and safety meetings and apply the subject matter to day to day task.
Follow all direct orders given to you by your Foreman or Manager.
Work as part of a team.
Always represent the company’s best interest, maintain the highest level of integrity and professionalism.
We are not requiring previous experience with irrigation or plumbing to be considered for the position. There will be on the job training.
Must be willing to submit to drug screening prior to being hired.
Job Type: Full-time- Mon-Fri
Salary: $13.00 to $15.00 /hour depending on experience
We pay weekly on Friday.
