Asset Class Specialist position is responsible for supporting the distribution
of the firm’s real estate investment capabilities including core, value-add and
opportunistic equity & debt portfolios across a range of investment
vehicles. The Asset Class Specialist partners with the external Real Estate
Specialists, Sales, Consultant Relations, Product, Marketing and Investments to
best position Nuveen’s real estate capabilities with prospective and existing clients,
primarily in the Institutional channel. The Asset Class Specialist is a subject
matter expert, possessing deep familiarity of real estate, and of Nuveen’s
investment strategies in related asset classes with a focus on developing new
business.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:· Assist in the growth and retention of Nuveen’s Real
Estate assets in the Eastern US region· Proactively partner with Sales teams to review
client portfolios and identify prospective clients and opportunities· Support sales efforts with institutions that have
dedicated real estate teams as well as specialist
RE-only investors such a Fund of Funds and Multi-Manager programs· Partner with Consultant Relations to support efforts
with RE consultants and experts at global consultants· Support Sales and Relationship Management teams with
responses to specific questions about strategies and products, and general
questions about capital markets and Alternatives· Understand and be able to conduct detailed
discussions on real estate and on the full range of Nuveen real estate strategies
and products in related asset classes· Distinguish Nuveen’s real estate products/solutions
from those of other competitors· Serve as an expert point of contact for
investment-related questions and coverage for prospective investors, clients,
and salespeople· Provide feedback from investors and clients to
internal partners to inform new products and solutions to meet client needsQUALIFICATIONS:Required Skills:
Minimum 3 years ofexperience in the investment management industry, selling and marketing realestate investment strategies to investors
Bachelor’sdegree
Preferred Skills:
MBA,CFA or CAIA is a plus
Knowledgeof, and experience with real estate investment strategies across both equityand debt
Strongsales and client service orientation
Abilityto effectively communicate complex investment assets and strategies
Strongwritten and verbal presentation skills
Abilityto work with individuals and teams across the organization
Abilityto establish and build effective working relationships with both internal andexternal clients
Licensing: FINRA Series 7, 63 or 66 required
