The Consumer Supply Chain
Network Management Director will lead the development of a global end to
end Franchise Network design and govern/monitor deployment within the Regional
Franchise Clusters. He or she will also be the Global Process Owner of all Network related processes and
governances, as well as lead big programs that support Network innovation and
transactions, ie. Partner enable innovation, Network Digital Transformation,
Licenses and Acquisitions processes, Simulation tools, Analytics,…Responsibilities:
The individual will develop
novel network plans to support the new segmented (regional) franchise
strategies by leveraging internal and external assets and collaborate with
Source and Deliver. This Framework will enable the Regional Cluster
Management to optimize the network by suggesting cost improvements and
enabling growth through a deep understanding of the business requirements,
external trends and supply chain innovation. The Network leader will
foster the development of network assessment capabilities within the
Franchise Clusters (Cluster leader and Value Stream leaders) with the
intent to improve product flow and performance from internal and external
manufacturing facilities.
Scope of the activity for the
Consumer Supply Chain Network Management Director is to build and
strengthen the effectiveness of the supply chain network, enabling smooth
execution and superior customer service.
The incumbent will apply
breakthrough thinking to effectively translate business requirements,
including commercial and franchise priorities, market dynamics and R&D
portfolio evolution into innovative network design options. The individual will also leverage
cross-segment & Enterprise capabilities to deliver compliant, reliable,
flexible, agile and cost competitive network design options. Concepts such
as interoperability, business continuity, customer orientation, inventory
optimization are to be considered while developing new proposals. The
Director is the process owner for the siting process and will support the
process in strong collaboration and partnership with the Cluster Leader,
the Value Stream Leader and cross-functional stakeholders (e.g. MAKE,
Quality, Source, Finance, SC, Tax, Regulatory). The Director will also
support the integration of L&A portfolios by effectively leveraging
internal & external networks.
The individual will provide the
Standards and the Framework to assess the supply chain design implications
of current and new technologies or platforms, capturing all opportunities
to deliver the above-mentioned results, in alignment with the business
direction, strategic priorities and supply chain objectives.
The position will collaborate
and align across functions and segments and will implement, harmonized E2E
network processes to ensure a common approach for technologies, platforms,
and geographic locations that would create greater value through a common
JJSC solution.
This individual will drive
strong collaboration & integration of the internal & external
manufacturing network, combining to build a flexible and optimal balance
between asset utilization, working capital & operating costs. The
individual will establish and foster relationships with Supply Chain /
Value Chain, Commercial, R&D, Finance and Regulatory partners and
build the essential capabilities within the Franchise Clusters to deliver
comprehensive, transparent and balanced business cases that fully align to
our long-term business objectives.
The individual must possess a broad understanding of the business
and demonstrate proven influencing and communication skills.
The Director Consumer Supply Chain Network Management will act as
an individual contributor and will provide guidance and support to the regional
teams when developing local network solutions. The individual will report to
the Senior Director Consumer Strategy and Deployment for MAKE. Qualifications
A
minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required. A focused degree in
Supply Chain, Engineering, or Business is preferred. An advanced degree is ideal.
A
minimum of 10 years of related experience is required. A minimum of
7 years of experience in Operations/Supply Chain and / or Strategic
Planning with a proven track record of success.
A
minimum of 5 years of experience managing and developing others is
required.
Global
Enterprise or Cross-sector Supply Chain leadership experience is
preferred.
The
candidate must have a strong business acumen and leadership skills, global
thinking, strategic thinking (through execution), and financial management
skills to effectively translate business requirements into innovative
value chain network options.
Exceptional
written and oral communication skills required. Proven ability to simplify complex
issues, analyze potential options, develop recommendations including
business value & risks, and bring forward to key stakeholders for
decision.
Strong
customer focus with the ability to influence through fact-based &
comprehensive analytics across all levels of the organization, and manage
E2E interactions without direct line authority to meet deadlines on
complex interdependent initiatives.
Strong
knowledge of processes associated with the end-to-end supply chain,
including L&A.
Analytical
& technology skills to develop solutions to translate data into
actionable business insights.
Deep
understanding of the Consumer market dynamics.
Lead
& develop high performing teams.
Demonstrated
experience managing large projects in a matrixed environment is
required.
Experience
working with 3rd party manufacturers, work councils, unions and government
agencies is preferred.
This
position is preferably based in Zug, Switzerland or Skillmann or New Brunnswick in US, and requires up to 25%
international travel.
