Ground floor opportunity for an experienced technician to join a nationwide franchise enterprise offering Managed Services to small and medium sized businesses in the Central Jersey area. You will develop, direct and implement the technical support services for our clients.
The Technical Consultant/Network Engineer position involves both field installation and remote support of network server, data/voice infrastructure and virtualization and security solutions. This position also involves designing, configuring, monitoring, providing remote support, administration and assisting with solutions design and project management.
We are looking for an energetic consultant/technician with the desire to work with our valued clients. You must demonstrate proven customer service skills each and every day and show the ability to Multitask.
The requirements for attaining this position are
Technical Consultant/Network Engineer must diagnose systems and application failures to isolate the source of problems between equipment, network, system software, application program and user. Should be experienced on a Service Desk performing Tier1/Tier2/Tier3 Phone and Remote Support and fully understand the importance of Client Satisfaction, etiquette, and follow up. Individuals MUST be able to multitask, organize large amounts of documentation and emails, communicate with Clients and teammates, document thoroughly. Be available for local travel when on-sites are required throughout areas of NJ
Required:
Kaseya RMM tool experience is a must
Office 365 / Hosted Exchange email migration experience
Extensive knowledge of Windows desktop and server OS XP, Vista, Windows 7, Windows 10, 2000, Windows Server 2003, 2008, 2012, 2016, 2019
Experience supporting and migrating Windows 2000/2003/2008/2012 Standard Server, Small Business Server environments, as well as Terminal Server and Citrix experience
Experience with Active Directory, Login Scripts, account and group creation and editing, Basic GPO settings .
Experinece with Office365
Experience with Sophos, Watchguard, Sonicwall and Cisco
Experience with Antivirus/AntiSpyWare & Malware applications, such as Symantec AV or others.
Experience with Backup systems, such as Datto, Acronis or others.
Experience with VPN clients and site to site VPN
Full Understanding of FSMO Roles, DNS, DHCP and commands/utilities such as ping, tracert, nslookup, robocopy
Some Understanding or Experience installing, configuring and supporting iSCSI and Fiber Channel Storage Area Networks (SAN).
Proven ability to install, troubleshoot and repair PC and server hardware and software in a networking environment
Hardware experience, RAM, PCI, SCSI replacements/installs, Hard drive swaps, rack mounting
Strong understanding of all aspects of internetworking
Basic experience with Terminal Server and Terminal/Roaming user profiles
Desktop App support experience with Office (especially Outlook), AV clients, Browsers, Adobe
Solid understanding of Printer/file sharing and access permission
VoIP Technologies
Must be able to handle multiple tickets at a time, as well as familiar with Autotask.

5+ years experience in IT support for businesses or other institutions
Past experience with MSP provider is a plus

MCSA (Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator) or MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer).
