Cook Positions, AM and PM Shifts available - August through October
We are gearing up for our 2020 season, and we are looking to hire a strong crew in the kitchen. There is also the opportunity to join us each year for our class season, which normally runs May through October. We provide cafeteria style, from-scratch meals for adult students attending Snow Farm's residential art and craft programs in Williamsburg, MA (just 20 minutes from Northampton and 45 min from Springfield/Pittsfield/Williamstown.) Students stay on campus weekdays and weekends, and we provide three healthy meals a day, including special dietary needs such as gluten-free, vegetarian, etc.
The ideal Lead Cook has previous cooking or catering experience, is flexible, energetic, organized and maintains a meticulously clean kitchen. They are comfortable leading the kitchen assistants through the shift. The cook prepares meals (menus/recipes provided by the Kitchen Manager,) keeps the kitchen clean and organized, checks in and organizes incoming orders, etc. ServeSafe certified is a plus.
Cooking shifts:
Breakfast/Lunch, 6am-2pm
Dinner, 2pm-close (generally between 9-10pm)
Benefits include free meals, and once vested - free art classes, sick time, and a friendly, positive work environment. This job will require passing a background check. Email Kitchen Manager Abby Simchack Snow Farm to apply; please include your work history and which position/shifts you are interested in, and how many shifts per week you are available.
