HVAC SERVICE MANAGER
McDonnell Mechanical Services is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Manager to lead our service team. The focus of our business is delivering high quality service and we do this by providing our technicians with frequent training, up-to-date equipment and a good working environment. We’re looking for a natural leader who is self–motivated, energetic and goal-oriented. The successful candidate will continue to grow our Service Department by utilizing his/her skills and our well-established reputation.
Individual must be knowledgeable and experienced in the repair and maintenance of all types of residential HVAC equipment and generators. Individual must be a team player with strong management, communication and organizational skills. Prior HVAC team management experience is a plus.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:
Coordinate day-to-day activity of all maintenance, service and start-up of new equipment
Manage and develop the Service staff which includes training, evaluating employees; setting work priorities and directing work assignments to ensure effective production
Work with Scheduler and review the schedule daily to ensure company commitments are being met and that materials are ordered and dispensed for scheduled jobs
Ensure that crews follow established company practices and adhere to quality workmanship
Conduct regular training meetings
Oversee inventory, vans, and communications within the Service Department
Survey/document mechanical systems belonging to new and existing customers; make written recommendations and quotes based on findings
Prepare quotes for replacement of equipment
COMPENSATION PACKAGE:
We offer paid vacation, 9 holidays, health, dental and vision insurances and a generous matching 401K plan. The income for this position will be based on what the candidate brings to the table with an annual starting salary of $70,000 - $90,000, plus a bonus program based on the profitability of the Service Department and reaching measured goals.
