Job LocationUSA, Louisville, KYJob Posting TitleLogistics AnalystThe ChallengeThe Logistics Analyst will be responsible for managing all aspects of customer deliveries for factory direct and specialty accounts, converting inbound customer orders into outbound warehouse shipments utilizing the ERP system, Oracle Transportation Management (OTM). This person will work closely with Sales, Transportation, our carrier base, and customers to ensure customer delivery requirements are met while balancing cost and service.What you will DoJob Duties:
Utilize ERP Web Based system (OTM) to build and schedule shipments.
Build factory direct and specialty customer orders into truckload shipments taking into account factors such as customer preference, carrier and warehouse capacity, geography, traffic and mileage.
Select and assign most-optimized motor carrier to each customer truckload.
Ensure shipments are received by the warehouse and shipped on time to meet customer delivery appointments.
Resolve any issues that may impact customer delivery appointments.
Manage escalations with Customer Service, field sales, and customers to balance service and cost for the overall success of the business.
Partner with the Transportation Manager to ensure daily execution optimizes carrier capacity and cost while meeting on-time performance for customer satisfaction.
Utilize metrics trend data to develop and implement actions to improve service and reduce distribution costs.
Resolve system errors daily, as needed, to ensure all shipments flow into the warehouse management systems.
Create standard operating procedures for use by floaters during absences.

Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree or a minimum of three years of relevant work experience
Minimum of three years’ work experience
Strong communication skills, both oral and written
Process focused and has proven record of resolving issues in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrates Clear Thinking and External Focus
Strong inclusive leadership skills are a must, for both external customer and internal team
5% travel required for domestic travel to customer sites/plants, etc.
Desired Qualifications:
Previous experience in order service, sales, transportation, or logistics
Previous experience in developing and working from Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
Proficient in MS Excel, and Web Based applications
