Job Description

The

Program Manager, NM Academy Ops reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages and provides oversight of a system-wide program or system within the NM Academy. The NM Academy is the learning and development function of Northwestern Memorial Healthcare. The focus and portfolio for this specific role is defined in the addendum.
  • Program Management: Implementation, reporting, site management, administrator management, governance, and training, data support and general support.
  • Process and Performance Improvement: Assesses and measures the program to ensure its relevance to changing business needs and to monitor effectiveness efforts. Conducts internal and external research and benchmarking to ensure strategy, content and delivery model are positioned to deliver best-in-class results.
  • Project Management: Utilizes project management skills and established process improvement and project management methodologies to define project roles, identify resource requirements, meet training needs, manage project deliverables, and ensure quality deliverables.
  • Training Design, Development and Facilitation: Analyzes learning and performance needs related to portfolio. May develop training content. Facilitates training to support individual portfolio as well as other NM Academy initiatives.
  • Communication: Creates and maintains a variety of communication vehicles for internal and external customers. Responsible for providing leadership to an assigned portfolio of projects/ initiatives through active engagement of NM Executives (Project Sponsors) and all stakeholders. Responsible for developing and maintaining productive and cordial relationships with customers and team members, serving as a link between multiple parties and entities. AA/EOE.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Master’s degree in relevant field, such as; Organization Development, Human Resource Development, Education, Business Administration, Psychology, Nursing or other relevant field
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in relevant field, such as; Human Resource Development, Nursing or Management.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple assignments in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Identify issues proactively and follow through to completion.
  • Ability to organize and takes initiative when indicated.
  • Ability to effectively interact with a variety of individuals including internal and external staff.
  • Proficient in the required computer skills including the ability to work with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and ability to attain knowledge of other programs as needed.

Preferred:

  • Certification in human resource management, change leadership, instructional systems design, project management
