Meeting CoordinatorExperienced ProfessionalAtlanta, GA ID: 20762 Full-Time/RegularPlease note: This position is in anticipation of a vacancy award.This position will provide professional meeting coordination. Under general supervision, coordinates the planning and execution of meetings, trainings and reviews, coordinates with the project team to develop itineraries and to ensure audio-visual and other technology supports are in place.Duties:Locates, confirms and schedules venues to hold meetings, trainings and reviews.Travels to venues to perform visual inspections and ensures that all preparations are in place prior to events, as appropriate.Coordinates with project staff and leadership to help design event itineraries and schedules and to ensure audio-visual and other technology supports are in place.Coordinates and manages parking arrangements for meetings, events and reviews.Maximizes and supports the delivery of contract tasks remotely or by using technology, as opposed to physical presence.Plans menus and hires caterers to provide food and drinks at meetings and special events, as appropriate.Reports and escalates concerns to management, as needed.Establishes and maintains relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.Performs risk management to minimize event risks.Creates and maintains comprehensive event documentation. Required SkillsWorking more than 40 hours per week may be required to meet project deadlines.Physically able to participate and present in training sessions, presentations and meetings.Some travel may be required for the purpose of meeting with clients, stakeholders, vendors or off-site personnel/management. Required ExperienceKnowledge & Experience: Proven work experience in event planning and meeting coordination.Excellent client-facing and internal .Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.Understanding of Federal, State and County government and experience working in or providing support to large government bureaucracies.Strong proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and/or standard software applications typically used in a corporate office environment.Educational Requirements:Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND Three years of recent relevant experience, with a progression in responsibility.DLH Corporation is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
