Accountemps is seeking an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk available for a short-term temporary vacancy on a quickly expanding team at a thriving company. Serving as the Accounts Payable Clerk, you will match, batch, and code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks. We seek out ambitious professionals who are creators, leaders, and pioneers. Based out of the Goleta, California area, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a short-term temporary opening.
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily processes and controls correctly and punctually, ensuring company policies are followed
- Carry out a full-cycle A/P
- Provide support to internal business partners
- Carry out additional projects as required
- Handle the administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department
- Handle daily department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it
- Facilitate internal and external audits as needed
- Verify, log and mail checks, including expediting special handling
- Sort, log, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents
Qualifications:
- Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
- Demonstrated communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
- Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
- Accounts payable experience desired
- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar is required
- High attention to detail
