Job Description:
Examine and measure production samples to ensure accurate execution of requested specs.
Cross reference sample against information in the Tech Pack and against previous sample to ensure consistency and call out any style, fit, and construction discrepancies to team.ÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂ
Updating Tech Packs with the most current information for the BOM, construction notes, specs, label placements, and design sketches after each fitting if necessary.ÂÂ
Take detailed notes of product fittings and clearly communicate all fit components to Technical DesignerÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂ
Assure quality control of pre-production and shipping samples.ÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂ
Follow up and track fit sample w/overseas vendors.ÂÂÂÂÂÂ
Shipping samples back to vendors.ÂÂÂÂ
Keep WIP up to date.ÂÂÂÂÂ
Keep fit room and ALL samples organized.
Qualifications:
Knowledge of tech pack development, garment construction, sewing, technical drawing, measuring and fitting.Â
Must be a team player and have a strong independent work ethic. ÂÂÂÂÂÂÂ
Ability to multi-task and adapt to shifting priorities.ÂÂÂÂÂÂ
Ability to problem solve daily challenges.ÂÂÂÂÂÂ
Detail oriented and superior organizational skills.ÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂ
Excellent communication skills.ÂÂÂÂÂÂ
Proficient in Illustrator, Excel and Word.Â
Preferences:ÂÂÂÂÂÂÂ
College Degree in Fashion Design.ÂÂÂÂÂ
Have 1-2 years of experience as Quality Control in a fashion environment.ÂÂÂÂÂÂ
Pattern making and grading experience is a plus!
