The Bear Valley Adventure Company is looking for a skilled bookkeeper to be responsible for performing all record keeping of financial transactions for the business. The Bookkeeper tasks include cash management of registers, account entries and bank reconciliation, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, inventory adjustments and routine reporting for licenses, permits and taxes.
Qualifications Required:
1. Proven work experience in bookkeeping, accounting, cash management
2. Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
3. Patient, adaptable, “Yes” personality for a small business environment
4. Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
5. Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and QuickBooks
6. Proficiency in English and in MS Office
7. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Compensation and Work Environment:
1. The work is done on-site at the Bear Valley Adventure Company office
2. Work days and hours are flexible and will average 30 hours per week
3. Starting wage is $18 per hour but negotiable based on experience with no approved overtime
4. Employee discount (35%) on retail store items
5. Season pass to XC ski trail system and BV Mountain Resort
