DescriptionSAIC is looking for a Lead Java SoftwareSystems Engineer to join the Aviator

Lead a distributed, multi-disciplinary team of softwareengineers, information technologists and data analysts using an Agilemethodology within the Atlassian suite (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket)
Interface directly with program management and thegovernment customer to elicit requirement, to manage priorities/scope and tocommunicate/mitigate technical risks
Manage software development roadmap and remove roadblocks toensure technical staff stays on schedule
Define software deployment processes and ensure their use bySAIC and subcontractor staff
Mentor team members on technical tasks (software design andimplementation) and professional development
Work hand-in-hand with our customer to deliverout-of-the-box training solutions, rapid prototypes and innovative userexperiences that have an immediate impact on US Army aviator training
Travel: up to 25% travel to Ft. Rucker, ALQualificationsRequired Education and Experience
HS/GED and 14 years of experience; OR Bachelors and ten (10) years or more experience; Masters and 8 years or more experience; PhD and 5 years related experience.
US Citizen with the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
5+ years’ experience in web application and/or desktop software design, implementation and test using Java and/or JavaScript
5+ years’ experience in systems integration and test
1+ years’ experience working in Agile software development
Excellent communication skills and experiencing interacting with a government customer is required
Atlassian suite a plus!
