Marketing and Communications Specialist

Wyoming, Story, 82842 Story USA

Vacancy caducado!

About us

Once a upon a time there was a Tasmanian-owned customer owned bank that could. Like all great stories, this one has the perfect setting (Tasmania), believable and memorable characters (our customers and our community) and some interesting plot twists (um, COVID).

Bank of us is the only Tasmanian customer owned bank, but what does that mean exactly? It means that we care about the communities we do business in. It means that any profits we make go back into the business, so we can keep making our products great and our services even better. It means we place people at the heart of banking, for real.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll be working closely with a team that’s got your back. We need your help to spread the word through super-engaging content that will make Tasmanians pay attention and start conversations and will help us reach our goals (and hopefully, we’ll help you with yours too).

Did we mention that getting the brand voice right and keeping it consistent is key to your success?

What else? If you’re not whipping up a media release, or copy for the web, you’ll have a hand in the delivery of our community strategy or help to get a new advertising campaign to market. As our resident Marketing and Communications guru, you’ll get to play a part in many a sub-plot across the Bank of us story (pour over the position description for all the nitty gritty).

About you

You are a lover of plain English. You know a thing or two about the importance of good storytelling and coming up with the right words for the right audience is your superpower.

You are best buds with both internal and external communication, and you get that employee and customer advocacy is the name of the game. Your ability to make friends and influence people means that working across teams, dealing with suppliers, and building relationships with our local media is a breeze for you.

You eat attention for detail for breakfast and you don’t mind a challenge and rolling up your sleeves to get the job done.

Not only do you have a way with words, but you’re also a natural all-rounder when it comes to your marketing skills. What is there that you cannot do?

Most importantly, you know who you are, and your values align with ours.

The work-perks

  • We see the value in you (Visit www.bankofus.com.au/evp to learn more)

  • This is a permanent role where you can immerse yourself in our amazingly positive culture

  • Your efforts are recognised and rewarded

  • Enjoy a spot of lunchtime retail therapy or a walk through City Park from our central Launceston location

  • Plus you’ll live for our super-flexible working from home options

Talk with us

If this sounds right up your alley but you have burning questions, checkout the position description at www.bankofus.com.au/careers and if you still need answers, get in touch with our People & Culture Specialist Marisa Davenport on 03 6348 3329 or [email protected].

Work with us

Go on and flex those fingers. You’ll find the application form for this role at www.bankofus.com.au/careers. Fill out the form, attach your resume and tell us why you’re the best person for us. Don’t forget that you’re a creative type, so how you make yourself stand out is entirely up to you and if you’ve got some written work that you’re super-proud of why not upload that too?

Get ready, set … GO!
