The Facility and Livestock Specialist will perform assorted duties pertaining to the care of livestock and execute the management of facilities including maintenance & landscaping tasks for Sheridan College. Duties of this position will include the AgriPark.
Reports To Director of College Services
Education/Qualifications
Possess a valid Wyoming Driver’s License
Have a commercial driver’s license or the ability to obtain such license
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Ability to be a self-starter and work independently
- Ability to relate to others in a safe and positive manner with an understanding of indoor and outdoor facility care, equipment operation and maintenance
- Understanding of livestock care
- Understanding of grounds care, chemical usage, and grounds equipment operation and maintenance
- Understanding of pesticides, herbicides, horticulture, tree care, mulching
- Operate tractors, front end loaders, skid steer, snow plow, and lawn mowing equipment
- Communication skills required
- Welding skills
- Mechanical and motor repair
- Computer skills, preferred
- Ability to organize work tasks
- Establish a safe working environment
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
- Lift 75 lbs.
- Outdoor work with exposure to all elements
- Available for emergency call out and weekends

Experience
- Experience in related field of facilities management
- Experience in working with livestock primarily including horses and cattle.
