The Wyoming Department of Transportation is seeking 2 Temporary Construction Crew Specialists in Sheridan, Wyoming, to perform basic construction tasks under supervision to provide a safe, high-quality, and efficient transportation system.

- Construction tasks include performing basic lab tests and survey procedures.
- Perform construction inspections.
- Prepare and check computations and data.
Qualifications
PREFERENCES:
Preference may be given to individuals who can perform algebraic calculations.KNOWLEDGE:- Knowledge of materials testing.
- Knowledge of surveying methods and equipment operations.
- Knowledge of construction inspection, which includes interpretation of plans and specifications.
- Skill in the use of computers.
- Strong math skills required.
- Ability to perform algebraic calculations.
- Knowledge of documentation of project records.
- Knowledge of communication with supervisors and contractors.
- Knowledge of material testing, ability to perform complicated computer calculations.
- Knowledge of survey methods & ability to apply such as uploading & downloading of survey files.
- Knowledge of contract time, administration & contract changes.
- Knowledge of engineering computations/formulas.
- Knowledge of core drilling equipment, pneumatic & electric jackhammers, and hand tools.
Necessary Special Requirements
PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Daily use of motor vehicles.
- Workaround large construction machinery.
- Ability to sit/stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift and/or carry 50 pounds independently.
- Work outdoors for extended periods of time in adverse environmental conditions.
- Must be willing to work long hours and up to 6 days per week.
- Daily and overnight travel is required.
