The City of Laramie is accepting applications for a Municipal Court Clerk in the Administrative Services Department.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist division with software conversion duties as assigned.
  • Perform a variety of clerical duties, including typing, proofreading, filing, checking records and recording information on records.

  • Review information and data for completeness and accuracy.

  • Enter and update a variety of information in computer; compile information for and prepare various departmental files.
  • Customer service as receptionist at the counter and over the phone.
  • Answer inquiries and provide information requiring knowledge of court matters, policies, and procedures.
  • Assist the general public, attorneys, defendants, and outside agencies by providing general information concerning Court policies and procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality and being able to work with a diverse group of customers a must.
  • Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS (Any combination equivalent to experience and training would be qualifying):

  • Two years of increasingly responsible clerical and customer service experience which included public contact preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
