Position Summary

Under the direction of the Human Resource Director, the Temporary HR Intern is responsible for project work as assigned in the specified department. Focuses on learning how the organization runs and adds valuable contributions to the company’s operations. Learns the ins-and-outs of daily routines and procedures with focus on assigned department.

This is a hands-on internship with a part-time, flexible schedule.

Essential Functions

  • Complete project work as assigned by specified department.

  • Assist with general office activities as determined and directed.

  • Attend company functions and networking events.

  • Shadow multiple office positions and train in a variety of tasks.

  • Learn organization daily routines, procedures and overall operations.

  • Contribute to company operations.

  • Participate in internship training programs.

  • Keep an open mind and positive energy.

  • Share creativity and thoughts for improvements.

Education and Experience

Minimum Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent; must be enrolled in an accredited university/college program.

  • Experience in Microsoft programs.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Self-directed and able to work without supervision.

  • Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas.

Preferred Requirements

  • Prior work experience in an office setting.

  • Involvement in extracurricular activities or community outreach.

Successful applicant must pass a drug and alcohol screening and undergo a background check.
