GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Camp Guernsey Billeting Office is seeking two part-time housekeepers. These positions will be responsible for daily maintenance and general cleaning of all billets on base.Human Resource Contact: 307-777-8121 matthew.nix@wyo.govESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The listed functions are illustrative only and are not intended to describe every function which may be performed in the job level.
- Make/change bedding, count, and bundle sheets for linen service.
- Vacuum floors and furniture.
- Sweep, mop, buff or burnish floors.
- Empty trash, dust, clean appliances, wash windows and mirrors, clean restrooms.
- Clean, wash, and stock billet vehicles.
- Observe and identify areas needing repairs and submit work orders.
- Stock custodial supplies and replenishes supplies when needed.
- Responsible for grounds around billet area; snow removal, picking up trash
Qualifications
PREFERENCES:
Preference may be given to those with a High School Diploma and six (6) months of work experience in Buildings and Grounds or Housekeeping.KNOWLEDGE:
- Knowledge of materials, supplies, equipment, and methods of more technical cleaning and maintenance.
- Knowledge of power and manual tools.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
High School Diploma
Experience:
0-6 months of progressive work experience (typically in Buildings and Grounds)
OR
Education & Experience Substitution:
0-1 year of progressive work experience (typically in Buildings and Grounds)
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
None
Necessary Special Requirements
PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Exposure to hazardous materials, bodily fluids, chemicals, body parts, bio-hazards, potential explosives, and elements.
- Must be able to drive vehicles, and operate large complex cleaning and grounds maintenance equipment.
- Required to lift up to 50 Lbs.
- Successful applicant will be required to work weekends.
