In the role of Civil Engineer, we'll count on you to:

Design and plan production for general civil on a wide variety of projects, including utilities, and associated civil engineering activitiesPerform quantity calculationsPrepare specifications and contract documentsPerform complex assignments exercising judgment in evaluation, selection and modification of standard engineering techniques and proceduresCreate detailed designs of water and wastewater treatment systems and collection systemsPerform analysis and study-level reports for water and wastewater treatment distribution and collection systems, determine appropriate design methods, equipment sizing and selection, and work directly with the ownerFunction as a Technical Specialist or Project Manager, assist in the management of larger projects or manage smaller projects but project management is not the sole focus of this position

Conduct quality control reviews of completed designsPerform construction administration responsibilities for water/wastewater projectsManage the following work elements: day-to-day communication (verbal and written) with the client, support and advise junior engineers and technical staff, write reports and technical memos, coordinate with subconsultants, keep project on schedule and within budget, and keep client satisfiedPerform other duties as needed

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering4+ years of experience designing and creating plans and specifications for civil projectsPE or ability to obtainSelf-motivated, able to work independently and with a project team to completion of a taskAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Preferred Qualifications

Working knowledge of AutoCAD
