Welding Instructor, CWI
Pay Range $23/hr+ Depending on ExperienceFull Time - 40-50 hours/weekMonday – Friday 6:00 am – 2:00 pm 1st shiftMonday – Friday 2:00 pm – 10:00 pm 2nd shift
Minimum Qualifications: 7 years’ experience welding pipe and/or structural in the field.
Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience training welders on the job or as a welding instructor.
The Instructor is responsible for providing leadership in instruction, safety, production and quality control in alignment with Western Welding Academy's vision and core values. He/She is responsible for providing leadership and direction for instructor assistants and the entire student body in operating a safe and efficient shop. It is essential that the instructor work collaboratively with other instructors and the Lead Instructor to enforce and abide by all Western Welding Academy's policies and standards. The Instructor shall model and communicate the mission/vision and core values to all stakeholders, staff and students. Instructors will consistently evaluate student progress toward curriculum goals and objectives. The Instructor shall report directly to the Lead Instructor on all issues.
Applicants must have a positive attitude, be self-motivated, possess strong leadership skills, strong written and oral communication skills and possess basic technology skills.
