This is a project-specific position to manage the site quality program on a U.S. government project in accordance with the Army Corps of Engineers quality specifications. The purpose of this position is to perform the essential job duties and functions listed below with the overall objective of providing our clients and Fluor with projects that comply with the quality requirements stipulated in our prime contracts.Submit a QC Plan for Government review and acceptanceAdminister and implement the Quality Control Program (QCP) as approved by the Contracting OfficerAttend the partnering meetings, QC Plan meetings, and Coordination and Mutual Understanding MeetingConduct the QC meetingsPerform submittal review and approvalEnsure testing is performedProvide QC certifications and documentation required in this ContractMaintain quality of and inspect all work under the contractImmediately stop any work that does not comply with Contract plans and specifications and direct removal and replacement of any defective workManage and coordinate the three phases of control (preparatory, initial and follow up activities)Manage and control documentation performed by testing laboratory personnel and any other inspection and testing personnel required by ContractManage a quality inspection staff including providing for any necessary training and timely performance feedbackOther duties as assigned

Basic Job Requirements

Accredited four (4) degree in architecture, construction management, or electrical/mechanical/civil engineering and sixteen (16) years of work-related experience with a minimum of 5 years construction quality experience on construction similar to this contractAbility to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholdersJob related technical knowledge necessary to complete the jobAbility to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelinesAbility to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective mannerU.S. citizenOther Job Requirements
