JOB SUMMARY:

Develop a consistent, increasing pipeline of residential real estate loans through exceptional customer service and referrals from local Realtors, business professionals, and community leaders. Ensure consistent and efficient handling of loan requests throughout the processing of the loan. Research, resolve problems and respond to customers’ inquiries on account status. Cross sell other bank services and refer customers to other departments / subsidiaries as appropriate. Keep informed of changes in bank services or procedures.RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

a.ORIGINATE IN-HOUSE AND SECONDARY MARKET HOME LOANS

i)Establish referral network with Realtors, business and community leaders.

ii)Advise customers on the details of various in-house and secondary market loan options.

iii)Ensure customer satisfaction through high quality, responsive customer service.

iv)Assist in marketing and advertising of mortgage services.

v)Submit loans to automated underwriting and monitor findings, as needed.

b.ORIGINATE AND MANAGE RESIDENTIAL CONSTRUCTION LOANS

i)Structure construction loans to match customer needs within PVC guidelines.

ii)Monitor draw requests for required documentation including lien waivers.

iii)Inspect property or order outside inspections, if needed prior to funding draw requests.

iv)Compare actual disbursements to the construction budget for potential cost overruns.

c.MISCELLANEOUS OTHER

i)Call on prospective customers.

ii)Provide guidance/technical expertise to fellow lenders on secondary market programs.2. COMPLIANCE:

a.Maintain audit, security, compliance and regulatory standards.

b.Keep informed of changes in general, banking services, procedures, and in the economy as well.

3. MISCELLANEOUS OTHER DUTIES:

a.Assist with company functions when possible.

b.Fill in for other departments and/or companies when high volume creates a need if it works within the department/company schedule.

c.Work Saturdays and some holidays on a rotation basis.

d.Assume other duties and responsibilities as requested.REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Post high school education and two years financial industry experience preferred. Previous sales experience helpful.

2. Math proficiency and aptitude.

3. General areas of competency: decision making, dependability, development, environmental safety, evaluation skills, interpersonal skills, prioritizing, problem solving, selling skills, team skills and time management.

4. Demonstrated record of achievement in social and/or extracurricular and leadership skills.

5. Demonstrated aptitude to handle sensitive operational transactions and customer relationships.

6. Professional appearance.

7. Demonstrated interpersonal skills.

8. Effective oral and written communication skills (including telephone).

9. Self-sufficient/self-starting.

10. Ability to adjust to flexible hours.

11. Strong interest in and ability to sell products and services.

12. PC experience helpful. Knowledge of mortgage loan origination software and automated underwriting systems preferred.

13. Deposit Platform experience helpful.

14. Must be capable of working with and maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information.

15. Must possess skills to maintain harmonious working relationships with supervisors, co-workers and customers.Physical Requirements:

Light Work - exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Continue on-going training for department operations, policies and procedures.Normal working days are Monday through Friday40 hour work week.
