Adecco is currently assisting a local oil and gas company seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor for a temporary to hire or temporary job opportunity, pay starting $26.44/hr . If you meet the qualifications listed below, please Apply Now!Accounting Supervisor Job Purpose:The senior accountant role entails playing a pivotal part in both monthly and annual close processes, as well as preparing financial statements. There will be significant engagement in year-end activities, particularly in the preparation of work papers. Additionally, this position involves directly supervising subordinates, including evaluating their training requirements and overseeing and assessing their work output.Accounting Supervisor Essential Job Duties:

Examine accounts payable vouchers for accuracy.

Create and assess journal entries for completeness and accuracy.

Conduct reconciliations of general ledger accounts.

Compile monthly financial statements for review.

Ensure adherence to established controls and processes.

Collaborate with operations, vendors, and/or customers to resolve issues.

Supervise and manage accounts receivable and/or accounts payable tasks, as designated.

Generate and scrutinize sales tax reports.

Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including the preparation of 1099s.

Direct and oversee the work of subordinates, ensuring quality and timeliness.

Offer guidance and conduct performance evaluations for direct reports.

Fulfill other responsibilities as assigned by the chief accountant.

Supervisory Duties:

Directly supervise subordinate staff. (Team size varies depending on department activity levels.)

Assign tasks to team members as needed.

Provide training to ensure staff competency and efficiency.

Monitor and review the quality of work produced by subordinates.

Conduct periodic performance evaluations for team members.

Identify and address any additional training needs among staff.

Accounting Supervisor Skills and Qualifications:

? Bachelor's degree in Accounting with a minimum of 2-5 years of experience and/or training with 2 years of supervisory experience.

Thorough understanding of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.

Proficiency in Microsoft and financial software (e.g., Excalibur, Oracle).

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team.

Proven ability to delegate tasks, manage priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.

Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards.

Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including the ability to mentor and develop staff members.

Proven ability to effectively manage and allocate resources to optimize team productivity and efficiency.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to resolve conflicts, build consensus, and foster a collaborative work environment.

Pay for this position is $26.44/hour, full-time Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 430pm with occasional long hours and weekend work.Adecco provides one of the most comprehensive benefits packages in the industry to contract workers.
